Anthony Luis Santiesteban

Anthony Luis Santiesteban, 34, of Claremont, North Carolina, closed his eyes to this world and opened them to the next on April 28, 2023. Anthony was born in Anaheim, California, on July 28, 1988, the son of Nelson Luis and Dawn Michele Dinolfi Santiesteban. He grew up there and then lived in Florida for a couple of years before coming to Charlotte around 2008. Anthony started working for Coca Cola as a forklift driver. Blessed with a talent for fixing problems and using technology, he went on to work for Google, Apple, Facebook, Daimler and most recently, working as a project manager at the Duke Energy power plant in Charlotte as an employee of Insight Enterprises. When not working, his love of technology extended into computers and gaming. At the age of 10, he built his first gaming computer. And not only could he build custom computers, he was a visionary in e-sports and player with sponsors such as Red Bull. Anthony was a charter member of “The Riot Squad E-Sports” group of professional gamers. When not working, gaming was his world and participating digitally with the world around him. Most importantly, in both the digital and real world, Anthony sought to prove himself and worked incessantly to make his family proud of his accomplishments. With an almost photographic memory, he could research and recall almost anything he put his mind to. Though facing health problems, he researched his conditions and would often go to the doctor knowing more than the doctor probably did on his condition. He pushed himself and continued through Insight until February of this year when he physically could not continue. Anthony is survived by his parents: Nelson (Veronica Boden) Santiesteban of Claremont, NC, and Michelle DiNolfi of Sebastian, FL; his siblings: Austin, Caiden and Savannah; his grandmother, Patricia Cosgrove; and his grandfather, Norberto Santiesteban. Anthony is further survived by numerous personal and work friends, other relatives and friends. Anthony’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for him and for them. A gathering to celebrate his life, love and blessing will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2 PM. Friends may call upon the family at the funeral home from 1 PM until the time of service.
