Babe Anna McLaughlin

Babe Anna Calvin Savannah Martin age 83 was born in Ozark, Alabama on September 15th 1937 and passed away in Charlotte, NC on January 15, 2021. Her family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and due to the pandemic, no formal services are currently planned. Babe was married to Mr. John Mclaughlin in August of 1957. Babe left Ozark, Alabama and settled down in New York to make a better life for her and her children. She began as a domesticated worker before moving on to a promising future with the Telephone company, but then her life took a tragic turn. Babe Anna was struck by an automobile and severely injured. She was never able to fully recover from her injuries caused by the accident. This put all her dreams on hold. In 2002, by the grace of God, she was able to find and return to her family. She is survived by her sister Nancy Thrasher, her children and grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Stanley Terrence, his children Taj, Cala Jade Symore and their children Najel, Myaujah Shani and Jumari. Dale Elias, and his children Marquita and her children Javonte Kiniya Aeden. Kisha and Jermaine and his child Elijah. Carlos, Niyoki and her children Jazieze and Jakobie. Jeffrey Byron and Erich Gerard and his children Tristan Myles his child Tabitha Rose, Erica Nicole and her child Ava Renee. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sheila McLaughlin and her son Renardo. She leaves behind Sheila’s other children Sharon D, Bobby E and Nikki. Farewell Message from her sons: Stanley Terrence: The circumstances of life kept us from being together. But I will always carry you in my heart. The time we had together and the conversations we had alone with laughter. My heart hurts and my eyes are filled with tears. But I have joy knowing that you are with our Father in Heaven. I will Love you always, and carry you in my heart. Welcome home Mom. I will see you soon, Dale Elias: “Momma Anna, a part of me goes along with you and no matter how my journey in this life on earth ends my life would not have begun had you not decided I was worth keeping. Thank you for the life you gave to me, the memories will forever stay in my heart and mind. I will always Love you Momma. There is no me without you.” Jeffrey Byron: Mother, It was my Honor & a Blessing from Heaven to find you again after 32-40 years apart. Only my FATHER in HEAVEN could do that. I will always treasure the all-night conversations that we had upon finding you again---those full of Wisdom, Laughter & especially the Understanding you gave to me--Mother to Son. These are treasures that no-one else could give, nor I ever have had before. Farewell? O No, instead: may You *Fare VERY Well indeed” in the Loving Arms of THE HOLY FATHER--whom we so often highlighted in those loving conversations to be treasured FOREVER in my heart. However; in the end it was a great honor caring for you, not only were you my Mother you were a great friend. The wisdom you shared with me will forever be in my heart.
