Beverly Deane Starzyk

Beverly D. Starzyk (nee Lange) of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away at the age of 69 on August 3, 2020 after a brave battle with cancer. Beverly was a graduate of Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, Wisconsin in 1968. She married her high school sweetheart, James, on June 12, 1971. Beverly loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed camping and was a member of the West Allis Wagoneers and the WCA. One of her favorite past times was decorating cakes for her friends and family, especially for her grandchildren’s birthdays. She also enjoyed bowling, cooking, going on cruises and often bursting into song and dance. Beverly worked at Crestwood Bakery and Pick ‘N Save where she was able to use her creativity and passion as a professional cake decorator. You later could find her offering a helping hand and a friendly smile at Jerome Drugs in Muskego. After joining her family in North Carolina, she retired from Advanced Title Company in Matthews. Beverly will be remembered as a loving, strong, and supportive wife; an encouraging and nurturing mother; a fun-loving Grandma and “Nyna”; a devoted sister; a compassionate “Auntie B”; and a thoughtful friend. Beverly is survived by her adoring husband of 49 years, James A. Starzyk; her daughters Julie Ann (husband Brian) Pawlowski, Samantha (husband Jamie) Stewart, Sherie (husband Jon) Cain; her grandchildren Wesley, Jameson, AJ, and Violet; her sister Pamela Beier; and a brother Roger (wife Judy) Lange. Beverly is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her parents Earl and Violet Lange, a sister Karen Dobner, and her brothers: Ronnie, Rick and Randy Lange. Beverly’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. Due to COVID restrictions, a private immediate family graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2020, at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Road, Charlotte, NC 28215.
