Christopher Principato Kelly

Christopher Principato Kelly, 58, of Midland, NC, with his family at his side, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Born on September 3, 1954, in Long Island, New York, Christopher was the son of Carl and Adeline (Penna) Principato. After graduating from high school, he attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. There he met his wife, Peggy Gregory. He graduated with a degree in missions in 1979 and in 1981 they moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. Christopher and Peggy owned and operated The Final Touch Cleaning Service. With his degree, an infectious smile, and a heart to serving his Lord, Christopher touched many lives and was active in his church family at Faith Baptist Church in Mint Hill. Christopher also appreciated old cars and was the proud owner of a 1973 Dodge Super Dart. Most of all, Christopher loved his family and friends and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Peggy Gregory Kelly; a son, Robert C. Kelly of Midland; two sisters: Holly (Jesse) Aynes of Indianapolis, IN, and Penny (Darin) Thompson of Birmingham, AL; a brother, Joel Kelly of Lakeland, FL; and a mother, Adeline Kelly of Lakeland, FL. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Principato, and his stepfather, Linton Kelly. The family has given Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home of Matthews, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, the privilege of serving them during this time. Friends may call upon the family on Friday, April 12, from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home and on Saturday from 10 AM until time of service. At 11 AM, Pastor Rick Baker will lead the services for Christopher at Faith Baptist Church of Mint Hill with interment to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family would appreciate any memorials in Christopher’s memory be made to Faith Baptist Church Missions Fund, 6840 Wilson Grove Road, Mint Hill, NC, 28227. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all who have supported Christopher and his family during his final years and to all who continue to hold the family up and support them during this time.
