Jacqueline A. McKoy

Jacqueline(Jackie) A. Mckoy, 51, of Charlotte, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Jackie, the daughter of Cleveland and Azalee (Nixon) Goodman., was born in Manhattan, New York on May 10th, 1961. She was preceded in death by both parents. She was reared in Castle Hayne, NC. She graduated from E.A. Laney HS in 1979 in Wilmington, NC. Jackie spent her working career in the Health Care field. Her desire to work with people inspired her to become a licensed CNA. Her specialty was working as an activity director for seniors with Alzheimers. Jackie leaves behind a wealth of caring, healthy and timely antidotes for family and friends. She was our bridge builder between the generations (family). Jackie displayed a tireless work ethic and drive to provide for her family. The lessons that we learned, we'll never forget. Jackie enjoyed cooking and baking for the grandchildren. We love you, Jackie. Relationships are defined by our journey through this life, but God desires a greater relationship with mom, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, friend, and coworker. So take your rest, we journey to see you again. We love you, Jacqueline Anna Goodman-McKoy. She will be remembered by daughters, Lashanta Mckoy, and Cecelia (Anthony) McKoy- Graves, Charlotte; one son, Reginald (Elaine) Mckoy Jr. of Mexico City, Mexico. One son-in-law, Anthony Graves. Jackie's grandchildren are Adonis Anderson- Mckoy, Zion Anderson- Mckoy, Melissa Mckoy, Monserrat Mckoy, Imani Mckoy, Anthony Graves II, Reginald Mckoy III, and Iyanna Graves. Other survivors are brother, Daryl (Verna) Goodman, Charlotte; one sister, Faith Renee (Terry) Alford of Matthews NC; brothers, Cleveland Goodman , Kirk Goodman and Tyrone Goodman, all of Baltimore, Md.; aunts, Annie (Willie) Sidberry, Mary Turner of Castle Hayne, Linelle Dorsey of Baltimore Md.; uncles, William (Ann) Nixon, New Jersey, Clarence Nixon , Wilmington., James (Vickie) Nixon, Wilmington , Abraham (Virginia) Nixon, Rocky Point, NC. Billy Turner, Castle Hayne. Other survivors include nephews, Daryl Goodman Jr., Daron Goodman , Hampton Alford ; niece, Kimberly Alford. Ms. Mckoy is further survived by the father of her children, Reginald Mckoy, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, as well as Dekeivon Anderson.
