Jessie Logan McCall

Jessie Logan McCall, 33, of Indian Trail, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Jessie was born in Mecklenburg County, NC, on October 22, 1987, the son of Van Thomas and Wanda Gravely McCall. In his words, he “dropped out of school in the 4th grade”, which of course wasn’t true. From an early age, he enjoyed helping his father in the heating and cooling business and went on to work for his father after school. When not working, Jessie enjoyed being outdoors and shooting his guns. Most of all, he loved the time spent with his family and friends, especially when he could spend time with and talk about his nieces and nephews. Jessie is survived by his parents; a brother John (Kim) Fernald of California; a brother Jonathan (Cathy) Fernald of Harrisburg, NC; a sister Vanessa McCall of Indian Trail; and a brother, Justin (Ashley) McCall of Charlotte. Jessie is further survived by his nieces and nephews: Lauren, Kayla, Jon Boy (Adriana), Kali, Sammy, Jayda, Shane, Laycee, Gracelyn, Zaylen, Jacob; great nieces and nephews: Levi, Charles Luke, Kyrie, Liam and Laylani; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his brothers, Andrew Fernald and Tyler McCall; and three uncles: Charlie, Gene and Henry. Jessie’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for him and for them. Services led by Danny Meyers honoring Jessie’s love, life and blessing will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2021, with visitation beginning at 1 pm. All services will conclude at the funeral home. Due to COVID restrictions creating a limited gathering size, in-person attendance will be by invitation only.
