Marion Adrian White Sr.

Marion Adrian White Sr., 79, of Charlotte, graduated from this world on April 1, 2025, under the loving care of Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Marion was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1945, in Sailsbury, Maryland, the son of Marion Charles White Jr and Ada Molinaroli. He lived in Columbia SC where he received his Electrical Engineering Degree from University of SC. Gifted with talent and height to play basketball, he also played for USC. On January 7, 1994, he married the love of his life, Ms. Nancy E. White. They met at Resurrection Lutheran Church Charlotte, NC, are are current members of Elevation Church. Married 31 years, their life together was full of adventures, traveling to different beaches and beyond. More importantly, it was a time for celebrating the goodness of God, family and friends in their lives. Marion always looked forward to his family reunion hosted by Paul and Janet on the 4th of July, with lots of barbeque and great food and seeing everyone. His sister Janet provided more food and fellowship at Thanksgiving time. Eating great food and ice cream were high on his enjoyment activities. Marion loved to shag dance, especially with daughter Alycia at weddings/celebrations. He taught our small group members how to shag, friends in restaurants and care givers. Marion loved basketball and coached Christopher’s teams for many years and taught Alycia how to play. Marion loved fishing and had great memories of various fishing trips. He especially loved talking about his and Adrian’s fishing adventures. Adrian and Marion also worked together for years in their Engineering and training businesses. He loved and supported his children in every way possible. Many great friendships have evolved from fellowshipping at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Hickory Grove Baptist and Elevation Church that have stood the test of time. Marion’s kind, loving and giving spirit will be greatly missed, but we are rejoicing he is pain free, confusion free and shagging on the streets of gold in Heaven! Marion is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son Adrian White and wife MaLinda White and their 3 children, Tristan, Maddox and Paxton; his son Christopher Fulton and wife Caroline Fulton and daughter Leska; and his daughter Alycia Zaleta and husband Ricardo Gallardo Zaleta; his siblings: Rachel Danielsen, Charles White and wife Mary Frances, Gary White and wife Connie White, Janet Still and husband Charles Still, Paul White and Janet White and Tommy White and wife Meg White. Marion’s siblings have multitudes of awesome children and grandchildren and they survived him as well as a multitude of other relatives and friends. Marion’s family has given their friends at Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for him and for them. A gathering to celebrate the love and blessing of his life will be held at noon on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the funeral home chapel, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105. A private interment will take place on Monday at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
