Reggie Allen Knight

Reggie Allen Knight, 28, of Charlotte, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 7, 2025. Reggie was born in Darlington, SC, on January 31, 1997, the son of Robert Knight and Trixie Griffin. He grew up in Pageland, spending much of his childhood on the farm of his maternal grandparents, Harold and Teresa Griffin. Growing up in the country, he took advantage of all it had to offer. From riding horses to riding ATV’s, from working the rodeo to hunting, from fishing in the creek to trying to get trucks stuck in the muddy creek, he was country through and through. After school, he took his love of trucks to a job of operating a tow truck where he could use his skills to help others. The bigger the truck, the better as far as Reggie was concerned. Reggie also loved the time spent with family and friends. When he began to live in Charlotte full time in 2019, he took part in homeless programs and was always looking for a way to help others. As time went on, however, drugs also became a part of his life. Try as he might to escape the grip they had, he found himself in a constant struggle with the evil and demons that drugs leave in their wake. Though they led to some dark times, his family and friends will never forget the brighter days and the longer lasting legacy of the shining light that was Reggie. Reggie is survived by his mother, Trixie (David "Buzz") Jacobs; his brother, Donphan Lee (fiance Lisbeth Guerra) Knight; his sisters, Jessica Knight, Michelle McCullough and Cynthia Jacobs; and his nieces and nephews, Noah, Carter, Ivy, Marlee. Reggie is further survived by his grandmother, Teresa Griffin; his girlfriend, Megan; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold. Reggie’s family has given the family of lLowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for him and for them. A gathering of friends and family will take place beginning at 11 AM on Sunday, March 16, at the funeral home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105.
