Sara Estelle Pasley

Sara Estelle Craig Pasley, 84, of Matthews, NC, died June 10, 2024, at Atrium Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Monroe, North Carolina. Sara was born in Tate County, Mississippi on Feb 29, 1940. She grew up there, graduating from Wesleyan College with a degree in accounting. She married Robert Pasley and he preceded her in death in 2008. They were married in Georgia and came to Charlotte in the 1970’s when Robert took a position transfer with Ford Motor Credit. Sara used her talents to work as an office manager for Independence Nissan for almost 40 years before retiring. When not working, she loved to cook and take care of grandchildren. When traveling, she enjoyed going to Topsail Island. Most of all, she loved the time spent with family. Sara is survived by her son, Erik Pasley of Stallings; grandchildren: Zachary, Faye Pasley-Simon, Kelsey Morrow, Hayley, Shelby, Jeremy, Avery, Timothy and Lacey Pasley; six great grandchildren: Jase Pasley, Kinsey Autry, Mason Morrow, Jaxson Morrow, Joseph Simon and Charles Simon; and two brothers, Charles Craig and Louis Craig. She is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her son, Craig; and a granddaughter, Heather. Sara’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. A service to celebrate her life, love and blessing will be held at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC, on Monday, June 17. Friends may call upon the family at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service.
