Thomas Martin Kelly

Thomas Martin Kelly (Tommy/Tom), 35 years old, of Charlotte, NC went to be with our Lord on Saturday, Dec 31, 2016. Tom was born on May 23, 1981 at Andrews AFB, Camp Springs, Md. Tom attended Garinger High School in Charlotte, NC and was baptized at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in 1996. He recently lived in northern Virginia where he worked in construction and at B&R Kennels in King George, Va. Tom loved working and spending time with the rescue dogs at the kennel. Tom’s number one love is spending time with his children and family. Tom loved living life to the fullest. He had a passion for building and woodworking. He also enjoyed playing and listening to music, golfing, fishing, camping, shooting, drawing, working out, cooking, gardening and working on cars. Tom had a huge heart and is an amazingly funny and fun guy to be around. Everyone who knows Tom will tell you that he laughed hard, he worked hard and he played hard. He is immensely loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sara in 2012, whom he loved dearly and grieved daily. He is survived by his 4 children, Mikella Lowell, Cayden Kelly, Sophie Kelly and Thomas Kelly. He is also survived by his parents Diane Kelly of Stafford, Va and Tom Kelly (wife Becky) of New London, Conn, his brothers Tony Gonzalez (wife Amanda) and Patrick Kelly (fiancé Amber McCormick), his sister Jessica Moran (husband Jonathan), his maternal grandmother Mary Jane Mercer, his paternal grandmother Audrey Kelly and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of loving friends. Funeral from the Chapel of the Lowe Neddo Funeral 4715 Margaret Wallace Rd, Matthews, Saturday, January 7th, at 12:00 noon, friends may visit from 11:00am until the time of funeral, Interment Evergreen Cemetery. There will be a gathering and time of fellowship at the Quality Inn and Suites Charlotte-Matthews, 13740 E Independence Blvd. Matthews, NC immediately following burial.
