Catherine Mary Ryan Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Catherine Mary Ryan, 62, of Charlotte, died unexpectedly on July 15, 2017. Catherine was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on November 24, 1954, the daughter of John Joseph and Victoria Ann Abdulah Auger Sr. About 1996, she moved to Charlotte where she worked for the Charlotte Observer in as an Advertising Agent. When not working, she enjoyed gardening and reading. Fourteen years ago she met her husband, Michael Poarch, and four years later they were married. Catherine is survived by her husband, Michael of Charlotte; a brother, John (wife Joan) Auger of East Bridgewater, Mass.; a niece, Sharon Auger of East Bridgewater; a niece, Catherine Colace of Walpole, Mass.; a nephew, Charles O’Donnell of Walpole, Mass.; and numerous other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa O’Donnell, and a nephew, John William Auger. Per Catherine’s wishes, no formal services are scheduled at this time and she will have her ashes scattered off the coast in the Atlantic Ocean.
