Eleanor Jeanette Broffman, 68, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Novant Health Presbyterian Campus in Charlotte. Eleanor was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 17, 1952, the daughter of Robert and Eleanor Hartman Armstrong. She married Thomas Broffman on May 12, 1973, and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2004. She enjoyed caring for her plants but what she loved most was time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Eleanor is survived by four children, thirteen grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Karen. Eleanor’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. Services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at the funeral home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105. Visitation will begin at 11 AM with services to follow at noon. Interment will take place at a later date at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.
