Glady Sue Cole

July 8, 1938 - August 14, 2018

Glady Sue Cole, 80, of Charlotte, NC, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Novant Medical Center, Matthews Campus. Glady was born in North Wilkesboro, NC, on July 8, 1938, the daughter of Spencer Leon and Phoebe May Reeves Wall. She grew up in Charlotte and graduated from North Mecklenburg High School. In 1966, she married Leroy Cole, and they were blessed with five children. She spent their years as a full time homemaker and mother. Glady loved wordsearch puzzles and spending time with her dog, “Precious”. Most of all, though, she loved the time spent with family and friends. Glady is survived by her two sons: Jimmy (fiancé Dawn Russell) Cole of Charlotte and Jerry Cole of Charlotte; a sister, Jesse; twelve grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons: Marshall, Michael and Curtis; and two grandchildren. The family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home has been given the privilege of caring for Gladys and her family. A gathering of friends and family will begin at 9 am on Friday, August 17, at the funeral home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105. At 10 am, all present will gather in the chapel for a service honoring the life, love and blessing of this wonderful woman. Following the service, those wishing to attend the graveside committal will meet at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte for the committal at 11:00 am.
