Iraci da Silva Husby Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Iraci da Silva Husby, 89, of Matthews, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Through the blessing of hospice, she was able to be at home and surrounded by family. Iraci was born in Brazil on March 9, 1932, the daughter of Jose Francisco and Maria Pedrosa da Silva. She grew up there and married Robert Lawrence Husby. They were blessed with three children and Iraci was proud to be able to be a mom and caretaker of the home. In 1996, Robert preceded her in death. Iraci enjoyed many things in life and she was quite creative. She enjoyed painting and coloring. Iraci was also quite the cook, and stayed true to her Brazilian roots. Her husband would be the first to have told you that her beauty caught his attention but her cooking caught him for life. Most of all, Iraci loved the time spent with family and friends. Iraci is survived by her three children: Marcio da Silva (wife Nailma) Husby, Lawrence da Silva (wife Adriana) Husby, and Maria Elizabeth Husby (husband Juvenal) Vitalino; her sister, Maria de Lourdes Ferreira; her nephew Wilson Pedrosa de Melo whom she raised as a son, and her beloved rescued German Shepherd mix, “Lucy”. Iraci is further survived by her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, her church family at Idlewild Baptist Church, her many friends within the Brazilian community in the Charlotte-Matthews-Mint Hill area, and the many friends she made in the medical field who helped her with all her needs. Finally, Iraci is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends, both in the United States and back in Brazil. In addition to her husband, Iraci was preceded in death by her siblings: Esther Pedrosa de Melo, Pedro Francisco Pedrosa da Silva, Esmeraldina Pedrosa da Silva, Severina Pedrosa da Silva and Isaura Pedrosa da Silva. Iraci’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. A service will be held in her honor at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 19, at the funeral home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105. Debaixo dos cuidados da assistência no lar, ela partiu rodeada do carinho da família. Iraci nasceu no Brasil em 9 de Março de 1932. Filha de Pedro Francisco da Silva e Maria Pedrosa da Silva. Lá ela cresceu e mais tarde casou com Robert Lawrence Husby. Foram abençoados com três crianças e Iraci orgulhosamente tomou conta de seu lar. Robert a precedeu em morte no ano de 1996. Iraci gostava de muitas coisas na vida e era domada de um espírito criativo. Nos últimos tempos se dedicou a colorir gravuras. Ela era muito boa cozinheira e permaneceu fiel às suas raízes Brasileiras. Seu marido, seria o primeiro a dizer-lhes da beleza que chamou sua atenção, mas a habilidade na cozinha o prendeu por certo, pelo resto dos anos em que ficaram juntos. De um modo geral, Iraci amava passar tempo com amigos e família. Iraci deixa três filhos: Marcio da Silva (esposa Nailma) Husby, Lawrence da Silva (esposa Adriana) Husby, e Maria Elizabeth Husby (Esposo Juvenal) Vitalino; sua irmã Maria de Lourdes Ferreira, seu sobrinho Wilson Pedrosa de Melo, a quem criou como um filho, e "Lucy" cachorrinha raciada com Pastor Alemão, resgatada pela família. Iraci deixa netos e bisnetos, sua igreja local Idlewild Baptist Church AD Visão Mundial-NC (Pastor Apolo Santos), seus muitos amigos da Comunidade Brasileira de Charlotte-Matthews Mint Hill, e seus muitos amigos da comunidade médica, que tanto lhe ajudaram com suas necessidades. Finalmente, Iraci deixa muitos amigos e parentes tanto nos EUA como no Brasil. Precederam a Iraci em morte seus irmãos: Esther Pedrosa de Melo, Pedro Francisco Pedrosa da Silva, Esmeraldina Pedrosa da Silva, Severina Pedrosa e Isaura Pedrosa. A família Husby concedeu o privilégio, ao Grupo Lowe-Neddo, de cuidar das últimas necessidades de Iraci. Um culto de celebração, em honra à vida de Iraci terá lugar na nossa Capela, na Quarta-Feira, às 11:00 horas, de 19 de Janeiro de 2022, situada à 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105.
