John Williard Salsbury III

September 15, 1960 - May 24, 2022

John “Jack” Williard Salsbury lll passed away on May 24, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina, after 61 years of a life of service, hard work, and dedication to his family. John was born in Ohio on September 15, 1960, the son of John and Rosella Fish Salsbury II. He was very committed to making people look and feel good about themselves and turning friends into family. True to his birthplace, John was an avid sports lover of all teams Cleveland, whether they let him down year after year or not. His loyalty to his teams, family and friends was unmatched. When John left this world, he was met at the gates of heaven by his son John Williard Salsbury lV, his sister Roseanne, and his nephew David. He is survived by his parents John Williard Salsbury Jr. and Rosella Salsbury; a daughter Jacklyn Schreiber (husband Kurt Schreiber) and their two sons Calvin and Nolan Schreiber; a daughter Jordan Jelinek (husband Derek Jelinek) and their children August Jelinek and Amelia Jelinek; a daughter Jayla Salsbury (Thor Hornsby); and his brothers: Mike Salsbury, Paul Salsbury, and Brian Salsbury. John is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. A celebration of John's life will be held on Sunday, May 29th at 7:00 pm. We will be having his celebration at one of his favorite restaurants, Maggiano’s in Southpark, 4400 Sharon Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211. In lieu of flowers we would like for donations to be made to www.gotsandbox.org an organization he dedicated many hours to helping children with special needs look and feel great at An Evening of Believing Prom. John's family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for him and for them.
