Kristin Ann LeVan

Kristin A. LeVan, 52, of Charlotte, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Charlotte Medical Center, Main Campus in Charlotte, NC. Kristin was born on August 11, 1965, in Kassel, Germany, the daughter of Jerry and Judith Boedy LeVan. They moved to Charlotte and in 1985, she graduated from the Metro School. She then worked for Nevin’s Center for some years. Kristin had been attending Developmental Disabilities Resources day placement service. She had many friends at DDR, both clients and staff. In her younger days, she was an accomplished swimmer, winning gold, silver and bronze medals for swimming events in the NC Special Olympics. Kristin also enjoyed shopping and the many varieties of food the culture of Charlotte afforded. Most of all, Kristin loved the time spent with family and friends and she will be missed by all who knew her beautiful spirit. Kristin is survived by her parents, Jerry and Judy LeVan of Rock Hill; a step-brother, Geoffrey Mason of Fort Mill, SC; and her caregivers: Bridget Smith, Jessica Loftin and Gina Lemon. She is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Krisitin was preceded in death by her longtime love, Danny Williams, as well as her grandparents. Kristin’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for them. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 5, at 1 pm, in the funeral home chapel, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105. All services will conclude at the funeral home.
