Linda Lee Franklin

September 16, 1943 - June 24, 2020

Linda Lee Thompson Franklin, 76, of Mint Hill, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 24, 2020, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte. Linda was born on September 16, 1943, in Badin, NC, to James and Lena Thompson. While in high school, she met her lifelong love, Joe Franklin. After graduating, she attended beauty school and continued to work as a beautician for many years. Most important to her, she became a homemaker and together with her husband Joe, was blessed with raising two children, Teresa and Lee. Tending to and cherishing family was her pride and joy. She was a wonderful and supportive grandma to her four grandchildren, whom she adored dearly. Linda had a heart full of love, destined to give and care for others. She attended Arlington Church in Mint Hill and was very grateful for her community and their love and kindness. Linda is survived by her two children: daughter Teresa (husband Troy) Bilek of Mint Hill and a son, Charles Lee (wife Deidra) Franklin of Denver, NC; four grandchildren: Brittany, Brandon, Cailee, and Brandee; and a sister, Barbara Hammill of Concord, NC. Numerous other relatives and friends further survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her four brothers: Don, James, Gene, and Bud, and her husband of over 40 years, Joe. Linda’s family is in the care of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home. Due to current social distancing guidelines and the COVID-19 outbreak, a Memorial Service will be planned at a later date.
