Lucia Finley Grimes May 29, 1935 – February 5, 2022 Lucia was Born in Nashville, TN, and lived in Clarksville and Franklin, TN, prior to her move to Charlotte, NC, in 2014. Lucia graduated from Hillsboro High School in Nashville before attending and graduating from Auburn University, where she was president of Chi Omega in her junior year. She retired from South Central Bell in Clarksville in 1987 as Business Office Manager. While in Clarksville she was treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce and served on boards of the American Heart Association, the Senior Citizens Association, and the Governor's Club of Austin Peay. After retirement, she enjoyed playing golf with her husband, outings with her grandchildren, volunteering, and being with family and friends. She was also member of First Presbyterian Church of Franklin prior to her move to Charlotte. She is survived by her brother, Henry T. Finley, Jr (Carolyn) of Wilmington, NC, niece Lisa Deese (Kevin) of Charlotte, NC, and nephew Henry T. Finley, III of Charlotte, NC, stepchildren Dale M. Grimes (Gail) of Clarksville, TN, Sandra G. Brainard of Nashville, TN, Michael R. Grimes of Maui, HI, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, dear friend Jan W. Cason of Nashville, and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry T. Finley and Louise Carter Finley, and husband Walter M. Grimes. Memorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville, First Presbyterian Church in Franklin, or the American Heart Association. Services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, in the chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2930 Highway 41 A South, Clarksville, TN, 37043. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and services will follow at 2:00 followed by burial.
