"Full of sass and vinegar!" Margaret Hall Paul, 67, of Mint Hill, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House at Southminster where she had been the past few weeks. Margaret was born in Taylors, South Carolina, on October 4, 1948, the daughter of Howard and Beatrice Long Hall. Her family moved to Charlotte where she grew up and graduated from West Mecklenburg High School. She enjoyed a multitude of things and worked as a school bus driver for CMS and a waitress. Most recently she had been the receptionist for Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center. After attending for over 20 years, she most recently joined Mint Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed being part of her church family. She loved to crochet and was an excellent dancer, enjoying clogging, shagging and two stepping. Most of all, she loved time spent with family and friends and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Margaret is survived by her partner, James Rushing; two sons: Robert Paul (wife Naomi) of Gastonia, NC, and Sandy Paul (wife Mary) of Denver, NC; her grandchildren: Robert “Dustin” Paul (wife Meredith) and their children Sawyer and Adelaide; Joshua Paul and his son, Lucas; Ethan Paul, Connor McIlveen, and Shania Paul. One of nine children, she is also survived by siblings: Barbara “Bobbie” Cliett, Melvin “Buddy” Hall, Dianne Pfieffer, Samuel “Sammy” Hall, Robert “Gene” Hall, Marie Duncan, Margie Sepko and Sherry Deal. She is further survived by good friends Miles “David” and Charlotte “Dianne” Lyman as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A celebration of the life, love and blessing of Margaret and led by Pastors Winston Lassiter and Lee Proctor will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2016, in the chapel of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road. A gathering of friends and family will take place at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road. In honor of the love, care and kindness shown to Margaret , the family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of CMC Main Seventh Tower, the doctors and staff of Levine Cancer Institute, and the staff of Hospice at Southminster.
