Margaret Peggy Quisenberry

August 24, 1927 - August 22, 2018

Margaret “Peggy” L. Quisenberry, 90, of Charlotte and formerly of Colorado Springs, CO, died August 22, 2018. Peggy was born in Greenville, Ohio, on August 24, 1927, Allen Roy and Nina Marie Wells Dickison. She grew up in Ohio and after school, she met George Quisenberry, a pilot in the United States Air Force. They were married at Wright-Patterson AFB, and she took on the life of a military officer’s wife. Active in military functions such as the Officer’s Wive’s Club, she was also blessed to be a mother to their three daughters. They moved around quite frequently during the 32 years he spent in the service. George retired from service and they lived in Colorado Springs, CO. In January of 2018, Peggy moved to Charlotte to be closer to her family. Peggy enjoyed many things in life including travelling, cooking, snow skiing, “People” magazine and spending time with a good book. Most of all, what she enjoyed most was time spent with her family and friends and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Peggy is survived by three daughters: Pamela Quisenberry of Enid, OK, Wendy Caston of Charlotte, NC, and Tracy Madsen of Charlotte; eight grandchildren: Christina, Jessica, Ashley, Jennifer, Stephanie, John, Crystal and Andrew; and seven great grandchildren: Austin, Christian, Landon, Autumn, Tyler, Brooks and Aubree. She is further survived by numerous other family and friends. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, George, as well as a sister, Betty. Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home has been given the privilege of caring for Peggy and her family. A gathering of friends and family will begin at noon on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the funeral home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105. At 1 pm, all present will gather in the funeral home chapel for a Celebration of Life Service honoring the life, love and blessing of Peggy. Interment to take place at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where Peggy will be laid to rest next to her husband, George.
