Margot Reinhart

July 5, 1924 - May 28, 2022

Margot Reinhart, 97, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2022. Margot was born in Germany on July 5, 1924, the daughter of Erwin Winter and Elisabet Chemnitius. She grew up during the war, which only made her stronger, and in her early 20’s, met Alfred (Fred) Reinhart, whom she married on January 23, 1947. Several years later, after the birth of their oldest son, Wolfgang, the family decided to move to America. Fred departed to New York City to set up a career, and Margot and Wolfgang arrived one year later. They spent time in New Jersey and Connecticut, where they welcomed two more children, Gary and Caren, before ultimately settling in Charlotte, NC in 1969. Fred and Margot operated and owned Queen City Graphic Arts with their son Gary. When Margot was not working, she enjoyed being with family, a passion she carried on through her entire life. Margot is survived by her daughter, Caren (husband Bob) Ramsey of Indian Trail; grandchildren: Christina Reinhart, Jeff (wife Jen) Ramsey, Sara (husband Paul Gager) Ramsey, Lea (husband Lucas) Gaddy, Joseph Reinhart and Alexandra Reinhart; four great grandchildren: Jaxon Ramsey, Riley Gager, AJ Gager and Ryan Gaddy; and a new great grandson due in July. She is further survived by a sister, Gisela, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who still reside in Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; two sons, Wolfgang and Gary; a daughter-in-law, Lori; and five siblings. Margot’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for them. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 12 - 2 p.m., at St Thomas Lutheran Church, 4013 Shamrock Dr, Charlotte, NC 28215, with Pastor Rich Hogg leading the service at 2 p.m. Following the service, Margot will be taken in formal process to her final place of earthly rest next to her husband Fred at Sharon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margot’s name would be greatly appreciated to The American Heart Association, www.heart.org
