They both share one son, Robert William (Will) Joyner. Mary was an extraordinary and dedicated, loving mother and wife. Mary had a tremendous love for the beach and went as often as she could, enjoying time there with her family and friends, loved sitting on the beach feeling the ocean breeze and taking in the peace and quiet away from her busy life. Mary was known as the sweetest, most caring and loving woman by everyone she knew. Mary’s smile lit up a room, just her saying hello could make your day. The best thing about her was she made you feel special, important and loved. No matter if you were having a bad day or who you were to her she would give you the time and make you feel like the world was yours. Someone once said, "everyone can be nice, but are they Mary nice?" Mary was currently employed by, Dr. David Christenbery, where she was Office Manager. She had been previously employed by Dr. Flynn Harris for 28 years, as his Dental Assistant. Mary was an independent, hardworking, go getter. Her love for socializing and people made her one of the best and well known Bartenders in Charlotte. In the evenings Mary bartended for all of the different Charlotte sporting events including the Hornets, Bobcats, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Knights, Panthers and PNC Music Pavilion. Mary was the longest working employee at the Panthers and Hornets from the inception of both teams in Charlotte. Wherever she worked she always did her best, was the hardest working employee and never complained about her jobs, just did them. She was well known and loved by hundreds of customers and friends. Her keen ability to remember people by their drink order made her a star! People would not only come for the sporting events but to see and socialize with Mary. She was truly one of a kind. Mary will be missed immensely by everyone who ever had the honor and pleasure of knowing her. Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home is in Charge. A Private Funeral and Burial will be held. A Celebration of Life for Mary will be held at a later date, not yet determined.
