Mary Lynn T. Perrotta Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Lynn T. Perrotta, 68, of Matthews, died unexpectedly on October 16, 2017. Mary Lynn was born in Brooklyn, NY, on July 21, 1949, the daughter of Edward and Margaret Mary Toomey Wade. She grew up in New York City area, Glen Cove, Long Island. After graduating from high school, she attended nursing school in Virginia where she earned an RN degree. She went to work for Cornell Medical Center – New York Hospital where she met her husband, Ricard Perrotta. They were married on May 25, 1975, in Margate, Florida. Together they moved to New Bern, NC, in 2004, and then finally to Charlotte in 2006. Mary Lynn enjoyed many things in life. Most of all, though, Mary Lynn loved the time spent with family and friends. One of her favorite activities was baking with her granddaughters. She enjoyed time knitting, crocheting, reading, and shopping. She even decided to learn the piano and took lessons in Mint Hill to do so. She was a beautiful, loving soul who will be missed by all privileged to know her. Mary Lynn is survived by her husband, Rich; a son, Todd Perrotta of Jupiter, Florida; a daughter, Tara (husband Scott) Goodfellow of Matthews; and two granddaughters: Natalie and Audrey Goodfellow. A private family gathering will be held on Thursday October 19, 2017.
