Melanie Lynn Haynes, 40, of Charlotte, NC, died February 6, 2021, as a result of injuries sustained after being struck by an automobile on January 27, 2021. Melanie was born in Charlotte, NC, on July 7, 1980, the daughter of Keith Haynes and Lisa Barwick. She grew up in Mint Hill and attended high school at Independence High School. Melanie enjoyed many things in life, and was very active in social media, especially Facebook. Her life, however, centered around her family, especially her three children. Melanie is survived by her three children: Trenton, Trenity and Tristen; her father, Keith; her mother, Lisa; her brother, Brandon (Irina) Haynes; her sister, Nadia Blackwell; her maternal grandmother, Betty Lineberger; and her paternal grandmother, Geneva Cornell. She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Melanie was preceded in death by both her paternal and maternal grandfathers. Melanie’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. A funeral service led by Pastor Joseph Moore will take place on Monday, February 15, 2021, at noon, in the funeral home chapel, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews.
