Ted Lee Voght Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Voght returned to his Heavenly Father on April 20th, 2016. Ted was born on December 26, 1935 and was raised in Huntington Indiana by his now deceased parents Lee and Marguerite Voght. He attended Huntington schools and graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor of science degree in business. Mr. Voght was transferred to Charlotte in 1962 by Lincoln National Life Insurance. He later worked for Kinderfoto and then 20 plus years for Specialty Manufacturing Company before retiring. Mr. Voght enjoyed playing football and golf. He also coached little league baseball for 10 years. He was a fan of classic movies from the 1930's and 1940's as well as big band music. Mr. Voght was preceded in death by Judy his wife of 45 years. He is survived by his son Douglas Voght, daughter in law Ghing Voght, grandsons Christian and Gabriel Voght. He is also survived by his daughter Tammy Papadeas and grandsons Zachary and Lucas Papadeas. He is also survived by his dear friend Ruby Deese. Mr. Voght has requested no flowers be sent but rather a donation be made to Abundant Life Sunday School class Missions fund c/o First Baptist Church 185 South Trade Street Matthews, NC 28105 The visitation and funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church 185 South Trade Street Matthews, NC 28105 on Sunday April 24 beginning at 1pm. The graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn East 3700 Forest Lawn Dr. Matthews, NC 28104.
