Frank Salvatore Ingrassia

Frank Salvator Ingrassia, 84, of Charlotte, under the care of Levine and Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville, joined his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 18, 2014. Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 20, 1929, the son of Salvatore Frank an Augustine (nee Bica) Ingrassia. On September 1, 1951, in New York, he married Vivian Schlatter. When his country called upon him for service, he faithfully served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended Pace University where he obtained his degree in Accounting. In 1998, he and his wife moved to Charlotte before leaving in 2004 for West Palm Beach, Florida, or “Little New York” as they called it. In January of 2014, they returned to Charlotte where he would spend his final time. Frank is survived by his four children: a daughter Susan (husband Jim) Olivo and their children Nicholas and Matthew of Armonk, NY; a son David (wife Gina) Ingrassia of Charlotte, NC, and their children Amanda Ingrassia of Charlotte, Caroline (husband Craig) Dunaway and their son Ethan of West Chester, PA, Joseph Ingrassia of Charlotte, Angelina Ingrassia of Charlotte, and David Ingrassia of Charlotte; a son Steven (wife Jasmine) Ingrassia of Islip, NY and their son Michael Ingrassia of Portland, OR; and a daughter Lisa (husband Daniel) Eskenazi and her children Sophie and Patricia of Chapel Hill, NC. Frank is further survived by a sister, Lillian Becker of Greenville, NY; a niece, Kathy Nicholson of Greenville, NY; a nephew, Albert Becker of Greenville, NY, and numerous other family and friends. Along with his wife, he is survived by his sister, Lillian Becker (nieces and nephews) and his children: Susan (Jim) Olivo; David Frank (Gina) Ingrassia; Steven Joseph (Jasmine) Ingrassia; and Lisa Caroline (Danny) Eskenazi. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Michael Ingrassia; Nicholas and Matthew Olivo; Sophie and Patricia Eskenazi; Amanda, Caroline (Dunaway), Joseph, Angelina, and David Ingrassia; as well as his greatgrandson, Ethan Dunaway. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Church in the chapel (5801 Pineville-Matthews Road) in Charlotte on Monday, August 11th at 11:00am with Pastor David Ingrassia officiating. Family visitation will begin at 9am and graveside committal for the family will follow.
