Jose A Ayala Jr

Jose “Joe” A. Ayala, Jr, 57 of Charlotte, died unexpectedly on December 31, 2020, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, North Carolina. Joe was born on November 23, 1963 in New York City, the first born of Jose and Elsie Montalvo Ayala. With his arrival, his parents were overwhelmed with joy! He was raised in Brooklyn, Bedford Stuyvesant. Blessed with a talent to use his hands and a mind for how things worked, Jose was always into something or inventing something. He would use this projects to either make some extra money or to simply create something he needed so he wouldn't have to spend money on buying one. One time, his father came home with a box of pen parts. Joe not only put them all together, he sold all of them as well. He would put bikes together with parts and pieces that he found on the street. That first bike, a 10 speed he built that way, is how his sister learned to ride. His determination and talent lasted throughout his life, and Joe never gave up trying to achieve things in his life. Joe was always willing to try different things in his own kind of way. He was also very tough and using his oldest sibling status, tried being a father figure to his siblings. Though not always appreciated by his siblings, he at least he tried and was loved for that. Joe was a juggler and would have it no other way. Until the very end, he continued doing many different things including selling cars, flooring, and real estate. He definitely enjoyed doing what he wanted to do and no one telling him what to do. Most of all, Joe knew love and first and foremost, had a love for Jehovah. In fact, he wouldn't be happy if Jehovah wasn't on his side. Joe knew Jehovah would take care of him through all of his endeavors and he went through life with that peace. He will be missed terribly, for everything from his infectious smile and his crazy conversations. He was a most unique soul and no one will ever be able to replace him. Joe’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for him and for them. A graveside service led by Mr. Michael Neddo will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
