Kimberly Hartgrave Edwards

Kimberly Hartgrave Edwards, 48, of Kings Mountain, NC, ended her four year earthly battle with cancer and joined her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Kings Mountain Hospice House. Kim was born in Mecklenburg County on January 19, 1966, the daughter of Sue (late husband, James) Morton and the late Jimmy (wife, Diana) Hartgrave. For the last seven years, she worked at the Shutterfly Corporation in Fort Mill, SC, where she was part of production. Kim felt blessed to be part of the Shutterfly family and they supported her as if she was family during her illness. Kim truly felt proud to be part of her work family. When not working, she enjoyed playing pool in both leagues and open games. She also liked tattoos, especially those that she shared with her niece, Macy. Most of all, she loved the time spent with her family and friends and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Kim is survived by her mother, Sue Morton of Kings Mountain, NC; four sisters: Misha (husband, Freddy) Coble of Kings Mountain, NC; Katie Hartgrave of Birmingham, AL; April (husband Walt) Rowlette of Charlotte, NC; and Dana Hartgrave of Birmingham, AL. She is further survived by 7 nieces, 3 nephews, and numerous other close family and friends. Kim was also preceded in death by her uncle, Harry McClure; and her grandparents Frankie and Walter McClure and Kate and Elmer Hartgrave. Kim’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for them. Services honoring the blessing that Kim was to all will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2014, in the funeral home chapel located at 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105.
