Sharron Monique Coston

Sharron Monique Coston, 54, of Matthews, died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital under the care of the Harris Hospice unit. Sharron was born in Lumpkin, Georgia, on November 7, 1967, the daughter of Bernice Smith, Jesse Macon and Arthur McCarthy. At an early age, her family moved to London, England, and then to Rapid City, South Dakota and then on to Fort Lee, Virginia. She graduated from Prince George High School and went on to attend Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Sharron received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from VCU. She went on to work for Nations Bank, now Bank of America. She ultimately became a Compliance Manager at Donnelley Financial Services where she had been until her passing. Through mutual friends, she met the love of her life, Kijane Coston, and they were married on September 29, 2007. When not working, she loved to travel and enjoyed being a “foodie”. Champion at Spades, get togethers, exercise, and retail therapy with her mother. Most of all, she loved the time spent with family and friends, especially her daughters, and living in the Lord. Sharron is survived by her husband Kijane and children Chanel and Victoria, of Matthews; her mother, Bernice Smith of Fayetteville, NC; her fathers, Jesse Macon of Anchorage, Alaska and Arthur McCarthy of Richland, Georgia; brothers, Levar (wife Yazmin) Macon, Montreux Macon and Ken Brown (wife Mae) . She is further survived by her sisters-in-laws, JaMeitra Coston, Gabrielle, Phylicia; brothers in laws, Jamel Thomas (wife Lydia) and Malcome, seven nieces; four nephews; Macon, Smith, Brown, and Dancy families and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Sharron was preceded in death by her grandparents. Sharron’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. Services will take on Saturday, April 23, at New Beginnings Church, 7027 Stillwell Road, Matthews, NC 28105. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 AM upon which time the service will begin. At 1:00 PM, all are invited to join the family informal procession to Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212, where Sharron will be laid in her final place of earthly rest.
