Susan Alane Myers

Susan Alane Myers, 51, of Charlotte, went home to her loved ones in Heaven on December 13, 2017. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and daughter. Susan was born in Charlotte, and spent some time in Florida and South Carolina at the beach before returning to Charlotte. Blessed with people skills and with a constant desire to help others, she worked in various service occupations like food service and chauffeur. She enjoyed her time working with her clients at the Metrolina Association for the Blind. When not working, she enjoyed the mountains, camping, sunsets, sunrises, ice cold Bud Light, beaches, thunderstorms, windchimes, snow and the holidays. She also enjoyed music, especially country and classic rock. Most of all, Susan loved doing any and all of the above with family and friends. You met Susan as a stranger and departed as part of her family. Everyone that knew her knew right then that she was full of life and they were in the presence of love and acceptance. She had the kindest heart of anyone you’ve ever met. She brought sunshine and love to any room she entered. She had the warmest embrace you ever got the chance to experience and she will be greatly missed by anyone that met her. She truly was a blessing of love, life and laughter that was taken too soon. She is survived by her husband, Dana Ange; sisters: Darlene Dorsey and Melody Myers; her only brother, Billy Forbis Myers Jr; her children: Joseph Fairchild, Nichole Ange, Lauren Fairchild, Courtney Ange and Jack Blakeley. Susan is further survived by seven grandchildren with more to come and a plethora of beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. In honor of her, the family will gather to celebrate the life, love and blessing of Susan on Sunday, December 17, 2017. The gathering will begin at 2:00 pm at The Surf Inn, 3549 N Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte. All attending are welcome to bring a covered dish and spend the afternoon and evening remembering Susan with the gathering concluding at 8 pm. Per her wishes, she wanted to have her ashes scattered from the mountains to the beaches so she can be with her loved ones wherever they happen to be.
